He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Keaton and Maxine Keaton (Keeler); his wife Donna McCreary; his son-in-law David Emch; and his sister Kay Robertson.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Lykins (Melvin) of Columbus, John Keaton of Greenfield, Debra Nulliner (Bruce) of New Palestine, Barbara Emch of Shelbyville and Jeff Keaton of Plainfield; and his brother Robert Keaton (Karen) of Brookville, FL.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren.
