With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dovie J. Carpenter of Shelbyville, Indiana, born in Franklin, Indiana, who passed away on January 26, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Haze and Janie Gladys Priddy (Carey); her husband Charles F. Carpenter; her sons, Mark Lloyd Carpenter and Ronald Ray Carpenter; and her siblings, William Priddy, Charles Priddy, Della McPherson and Mary McFarland.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Carpenter (Debbie) of Shelbyville, Bruce Carpenter (Vivian) of Monticello, Illinois, Carol Grant (Michael) of Shelbyville and Janet Harvey (Ray) of Waldron. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
