She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Thomas and Edna Thomas (Lenoir); her in-laws, Wilbur E. Higgins Sr. and LuVena Higgins; her son Kyle Eugene; her grandsons, Cole Ross and Mitchell Burnett; and her brother Reggie.
She is survived by: her husband Wilbur E. Higgins Jr.; her daughters, Kimberly Ross (Chris) and Lori Burnett; her granddaughters, Katie Ross (Max Pierson), Bailey Burnett-Schnur (Alex) and Madison Burnett (Jacob Broaddus); and her siblings, Buddy, Reed, Doug, Kenny and Susie Sheets.
