He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughters, Ashley Austin (Kyle), Heather King and Alicia King; his mother Katherine Strickhorn; his siblings, David Derr (Michelle), Edward Derr, Margaret Kyprianou (Mark) and Caroline Quetot; his father Edward; his daughter Kayla; his son-in-law William; his siblings-in-law, George Quetot and Kathy Derr; and his stepfather Alan. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
