He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Tennell and Dorothy D. Tennell (Goff); his son Michael Gene Tennell; and his siblings, Doris Kendall, Betty Runshe, Norma Meal, Cecil C. Tennell Jr., Maurice D. Tennell and William Tennell.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Johnson; his sons, Andrew Tennell (Theresa) of Edinburgh and Timothy Todd Tennell (Lori) of Franklin; his daughter-in-law Melody Tennell Lux (Greg) of St. Paul; his siblings, Rose Hellmich of Greensburg and Ronnie Tennell (Jean) of Flat Rock; his grandchildren, Jeff Tennell (Amanda), Jay Tennell (Becca), Julie Tennell, Scott Tennell (Jennifer), Carson Tennell, Cole Tennell (Jennah) and Carrie Smithson (Curtis); his great grandchildren, Jenson Tennell, Jayda Tennell, Addy Tennell, Casey Tennell, Caleb Tennell, Zack Tennell, Devin Tennell and Chad Tennell; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kayln and Bryce. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
