He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Lorts and Donna Dee Lorts (Cottingham); his wife Sandy Rees; and his brothers, Terry and Dickie Lorts.
He is survived by: his sons, James (Carol) of Sharpsville, Robert (Jamie) of Kokomo and Ted Lorts of Muncie; his siblings, Sandy Ritchey (Jim) of Sharpsville, Ricky Moeller and Ron of Sharpsville; his grandchildren, Andy, Cory, Carson, Peyton and Alana Lorts; and his great grandchildren, Sage and Jermiah Lorts.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Young-Nichols Funeral Home (216 W Jefferson St, Tipton, IN 46072). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
