He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde B. Carter and Allie Carter (Lee); and his siblings, Jill Carter, Gordon Carter and Randy Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hood; his sons, Jason Carter (Roeshell), Luke Carter and Carey Carter (Hope); his grandchildren, Jessica Montgomery (Xander), Jake Carter (Aerin), Chase Bagby and Ciera Carter; his brother Ken Carter (Terri); and his great grandchild Emma Rose Montgomery. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
