He is survived by: his mother Opal Gappens-Horoho (Woolum); his wife Cheryl McCool; his sons, Denny Gappens (Kaitlyn) and Wes Gappens (Maggie); his stepchildren, Brad Mitchell (Kelly) and Allison Maude (Nathan); his siblings, James Gappens (Patty) and Barb Calvin (Mick); and his grandchildren, Harper Gappens, Max Gappens, Mila Gappens, Miles Gappens, Andrew Mitchell, Ellie Mitchell and Callie Maude. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
