He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul L. Simmons and Mollie I. Simmons (Tobias); his brothers, Terry Simmons and Phillip Simmons; and his half-sisters, Janice Kessinger (Bill) and Rosalie Voland (Melvin).
He is survived by: his children, Erica Hughes (AJ) of Carmel, Jacilyn Simmons of Indianapolis, Valeri Simmons of Indianapolis, Lisa Simmons of Anderson and Nathan Simmons of Pendleton; his sisters, Paula Simmons of Elwood and Melanie Godby (Gail) of Sheridan; his grandchildren, Braeden Walker and Trinity Walker; and his aunts, Wilda Tobias of Elwood and Laura Rich of Texas.
