It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zola Hughes of Seymour, Indiana, born in Busy, Kentucky, who passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Stacy and Manda Stacy; her husband Curtis Hughes; and her siblings, Nola Ledford, Jack and Bud Stacy (Mary).
She is survived by: her children, Curtis Hughes Jr. of Seymour, Tammy Lou Hughes of Seymour, Carl Hughes of Seymour, Daniel Lee Hughes (Lisa) of Scottsburg, James R. Hughes (Zelma) of Farmersburg and Patricia Claxton of Seymour; her stepson Jeffery Patterson (Elizabeth) of Avinger, TX; and her sisters, Opal Vickers of Mobile, AL and Edith Neace of Corinth, KY. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
