It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roland Franklin Meyer of Seymour, Indiana, born in Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil A. Meyer and Dorothy Kobbee Meyer; and his sister-in-law Jean Meyer. He is survived by: his wife Sue Carol Meyer (Topie); his children, Tim Meyer (Leslie) of Seymour and Lisa Biehle (Ed) of North Vernon; his brothers, Lloyd Meyer of Columbus, Dennis Meyer (Joyce) of Columbus and Stanley Meyer (Nancy) of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Dr. Susanne Biehle (Nathan Day), Nathan Biehle (Kristal), Kaitlyn James (Josh), Alyssa Compton (Logan) and Sarah Kilinski (Chad). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (605 S Walnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery (300 Block Vehslage Rd, Seymour, IN 47274).
