He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Darlage and Edna Darlage (Moenning); his wife Melba Mae Benter; his grandson Zachary Rothrock; his brother Willard Darlage; his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Martha Benter (Stuckwisch); and his siblings-in-law, Leland Stuckwisch, Patty Surenkamp, Alvin and Wilma Benter.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Michael Darlage (Mary) of Freetown and Sharry Rothrock of Seymour; his son-in-law Jarrod Rothrock of Seymour; his grandchildren, Jesse Meek (Adara), Madison Darlage (Brent Sawyer), Macey Rothrock, William Rothrock, Bella Rothrock and Carlos Rothrock; his great grandchildren, Myrah Meek and Callie Meek; and his siblings-in-law, Glenn, Carolyn Benter, Marilyn Stuckwisch, Betty, Leslie Tormoehlen and John Surenkamp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, or St. John's Lutheran School, Sauers.
