He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Barnard and Phyllis Barnard (Kirts); his grandson Christopher Able Barnard; his mother-in-law Dona Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Marty Johnson and Velia Barger.
He is survived by: his wife Sonja Barnard (Johnson); his sons, Duane Barnard (Amber), Marcus Barnard (Amanda) and Chris Barnard; his grandchildren, Charisma Barnard (Keggin), Logan Barnard, Landon Barnard, Artema Barnard, Little Marcus "Bub" Barnard and Harrlee Barnard; his great grandchild Zyden Dalzell; his sisters, Marcia Hatton (Greg) and Viv Begley (Dave); and his siblings-in-law, Mike Johnson (Judy), Mitch Johnson (Freida), Shelia Mayfield (Eric), Tereen Roberts (Brad) and Kim Batts (Marcus). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services (316 N Chestnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Ray's honor may be made out to Autism Awareness, or to the family, in care of Sonja Barnard, to help defray costs.
