He was predeceased by: his parents, Jahew Reed and Betty Reed (Denny); the mother of his children LaVerne Reed (Hodge); his son Troy Reed; and his siblings, Charlie, Junior, Roy Reed and Allene Campbell.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Reed (Masden) of Rineyville, Kentucky; and his children, Matthew Reed of Scottsburg, Mark Reed (Kelly) of Crothersville, Dewayne Sullivan (Allen Sullivan) of Louisville, Shela Shelton (Orville) of Austin, Kelley Hensley (Paul) of Crothersville and Peggy Deaton (William) of Leesville, Indians.. He is also survived by his 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
