It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Norine Proffer of Seymour, Indiana, born in Southern Pines, North Carolina, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Palmer and Lola Palmer (Johnston); and her spouse Byron "Bob" Stanley Proffer. She is survived by: her children, Donald Proffer of Seymour, Brenda "Joy" Weaver of Seymour and David "Dave" Proffer (Glenda); her grandchildren, Taren Wilkinson (Paul), Joseph Proffer, Samuel Proffer (Heather), Nicholas Proffer, Michael Proffer, William Proffer and Wesley Proffer; her sisters, Jean Fox, Betty Lou Monroe and Margie Brown; and her grandson Andrew David Proffer. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
