She was predeceased by: her parents, Floy Mullikin and Clarice Berry Mullikin; and her brother Bill Mullikin. She is survived by: her husband Henry "Bud" Nieman; her sons, Scott Nieman (Terri) and Matt Nieman; and her grandchildren, Massimo and Gianna.

Memorials may be given in Joyce's memory through Burkholder Chapel to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
