We bid farewell to John Avery Dittmer (Seymour, Indiana), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 19, 2024 at the age of 84. John Avery touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Avery Dittmer and Melba Dittmer (Ahlbrand); and his brothers, Stan and Tony. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his daughter Julie Hutchinson (George Hutchinson); his grandchildren, Craig Hutchinson (Nicole Fanelli) and Catlin Buckers (Bruce); his son Dave; his daughter-in-law Marie; his granddaughters, Grace and Rose; and his siblings, Polly Berent, Patty Cress and Randy (Dude).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name may be gifted to an organization of the donor's choosing.
