He was predeceased by: his parents, William Duwe and Clara Duwe (Surenkamp); his wife Elvera Jane Tormoehlen; and his siblings, John Duwe (Thelma), Frances Duwe Darlage (Raymond) and Loreda Duwe Hendren.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Donald E. Wetzel, Jr. (Carrie), Lisa Wetzel Lewis (Alan), Teresa Wetzel Sowders (John), Debra Wetzel Teel (Daniel), Steven J. Wetzel (Rhonda), Rhonda Duwe Wessel (Gary), Janis Duwe Surenkamp (Greg), Clara Duwe Bauserman (Billy) and Sara Duwe Cain; and his brother-in-law William "Bill" Hendren. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers Cemetery Fund, or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
