He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie "Clyde" McCormick and Gertie McCormick (Blackburn); and his wife Elsie McCormick (Marsden). He is survived by: his daughter Julia McCormick.
Ellis still attended his high school class reunions, so memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Norris City Omaha Enfield (NCOE) Alumni Association.
