He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Gerth and Apphia Gerth (Woeher); his son Robert "Bobby" Gerth; and his siblings, Ralph Gerth, Dale Gerth, Jerry Gerth, Louis Gerth, Rick Berth, Helen McCulley and Alice West.
He is survived by: his children, Donald J. Gerth (Jill) and Traci Johnson (Shawn); and his siblings, Walter Gerth (Wilma) of North Vernon, Indiana, Pete Gerth of North Vernon, Indiana and Carol Elam of Columbus, Indiana.. He is also survived by father and grandfather.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Genesis Church (357 Tanger Blvd #206, Seymour, IN 47274).
