Donald Eugene Newkirk Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Eugene Newkirk of Seymour, Indiana, who passed away on January 2, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Pearl; his former wife Charlene Newkirk; his brother Jack; his sister-in-law Mary Newkirk; his sister Barbara; and his brother-in-law Ralph Von Hoene.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki Newkirk; his children, Brett Newkirk (Christy), Jason Sullivan (Tara), Aaron Self (Becky) and Amy Criswell (Shane); his brother Denny Newkirk (Ellen); his grandchildren, Taylor Newkirk, Olivia Newkirk, Reid Newkirk, Jordan Sullivan, Shelby Self, Jackson Self, Jessica Howard, Abigail McIntosh, Parker Criswell (Sarah), Noah Criswell (Chloe) and Chloe Criswell; and his great grandchildren, Sampson Newkirk, Jude Newkirk and Brody Howard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (605 S Walnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (1603 Shields Ave, Seymour, IN 47274).
