He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Rust and Dorothea Rust (Newkirk); his wife Debbie Burkman; his father-in-law Charles Burkman; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Rust, Patty Rust and Larry Lewis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beth Albert (Mike) of Seymour and Mandy Jackson (Todd Loy) of Seymour; his grandchildren, Spencer Parrish (Hannah), Luke Jackson and Lainey Jackson; his siblings, Dennis Rust of Seymour, Wayne (Anna Rust), Allan (Ann Rust) and Shirley Lewis of Seymour; his mother-in-law Mary Burkman of Columbus; and his siblings-in-law, Mike, Barbara Burkman of Scipio and Sherry Burkman of Scipio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (10792 N County Rd 210 E, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers, or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
