He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Bowman and Dorothy Knapp Bowman; his wife Marilyn Lockman; his brother Dan Bowman; his sister-in-law Doris Bowman; his siblings, Donald Mac Bowman and Linda Hanner; his brother-in-law Morris Hanner; his sister Sara Warren; his brothers-in-law, Leroy Warren and Lee Fleetwood; and his grandson Nathan Chambers.

He is survived by: his children, Bryan Bowman (Melissa Krawchison) of Seymour, Becky Gordon (Andy) of Pinellas Park, Beth Tulledge of Indianapolis and Betsy Bryant of Seymour; his siblings, Doug Bowman of Brownstown and Mary Jane Fleetwood of Brownstown; his grandchildren, Lauren Kirts (Casey), Caroline Bowman, Adam Bowman (Logan), Natalie Scroggin (Donnie), Aaron Tulledge (Reese), Joshua Tulledge, Jerrad Bryant and Jackson Bryant; his great grandchildren, Finn Kirts, Liv Kirts, Brooks Bowman, Zoe Kinser, Brianna Scroggin, Nicholas Scroggin, Easton Tulledge, Bo Tulledge, Leighton Tulledge and Jathan Silvers; his close friend Nella Coe; and also, Sasha Connell, Caleb Connell and Harper Connell. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Central Christian Church, Seymour, Boys & Girls Club, or Girls, Inc.
