He is survived by: his wife Charlene Shafer (Taylor); his children, Troy Shafer (Cai) of Knoxville and Nevaeh Shafer of Seymour, Indiana.; his siblings, Joe Shafer (Bonnie) of Carmel and Jane Dickey of Fishers, Indiana.; and his granddaughter Kiera Shafer.
