She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Starnes and Hazel Pauline Starnes (Branaman); and her brother Franklin Starnes. She is survived by: her husband Myron Smith; her children, Teresa Arnett and Myron Smith Jr.; her grandchildren, Matthew Mowery, Alyshia Smith, Cara Stroud (Joey Rollins) and Sydney Smith; her great grandchildren, Treyton Ream, Kamryn Rollins, Karson Rollins, Paisley Rose Lacerda and Raelynn Jo-Lee Lacerda; and her brother Thomas Starnes.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services (316 N Chestnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (1603 Shields Ave, Seymour, IN 47274).
Memorial contributions in Berniece's honor may be made out to the First Baptist Church of Seymour.
