It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virgil Allen Lanning Sr. (Selma, Indiana), born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on June 29, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Lanning and Edna Lanning; his former wife Selma Lanning; his sons, Virgil A. Lanning, Keith D. Lanning, Phillip J. Lanning and John Lanning; and his son-in-law Wayne Combs.

He is survived by: his wife Diana Lanning; and his children, David Lanning, Joe Lanning (Beth), Chris Lanning, Lorrie O'Neal (Bob), Pam Gladieux (Mike) and Julie Combs. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Franciscan Missions.
