He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Crabtree and Ina Crabtree (Pile); his brothers, Boyd Crabtree and Roy Crabtree; and his granddaughter Kendra Crabtree.
He is survived by: his wife Osie Crabtree (Hatfield) of Selma, Indiana; his sons, Gary Crabtree (Donna) of Muncie and David Crabtree (Pam) of Dayton, Ohio; and his brother Earl Crabtree (Jean) of Jamestown, Tennessee. He is also survived by three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
