He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Edward Prather and Anna Marie Prather (Dietz); his wife Alma Rose Prather (Schneider); and his siblings, Robert "Bob" Prather, Mary Jane Gallman and Margaret Dreyer.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Mickey, Richard, Steve and Larry Schultz; his sons, John Prather (Linda) of Memphis, IN and Terry Prather of Sellersburg, IN; his grandchildren, Kameron Middleton-Wilson, Jacob and Katie Prather; and his great grandchildren, Layla, Maelin and Aubrey. He is also survived by dad, papaw and uncle to his family.
