He is survived by: his former wife Janet Hardy; his son Bryan Coats (Robin); his stepson Brian Rice (Sarah); his daughter Christina Stephenson (Ryan); his stepdaughter Lori Rice (Leo); his brothers, Marvin Coats and David Coats; and his grandchildren, Parker, Carter, Jaxon, Chelsea, John, Nathanael, Seth, Ella, Eleni, Ean and Noah.
