He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Smith and Eugenia Smith; his wife Katherine Smith; and his sister Janice Smith. He is survived by: his stepson Gary Boettcher (Pamela); his sister Debbie Gatewood; his nephew Richard Gatewood (Tori); his great-nephews, Cooper, Harrison and Jett; his grandchildren, Allison Boettcher, Dana Boettcher and Cara Beard (Daniel); and his close friends, Charlie, Sissy, Tiki and Dori.
