She was predeceased by: her father William Hart; and her husband Fred Everitt, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Fred Everitt, Jr. (Karen) of Sellersburg and Terry Ledbetter (Joe) of Charlestown; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hooe (Roy), Stephen Everitt (Shannon), Mary Beth Allen (Josh), Joseph Ledbetter, Jr. (Julie) and Mandy Basham (Joe); and her great grandchildren, Ethan, Seth, Bryson, Mallory, Navey, Savannah, Parker, Blake and Stephen.
Doris served as a substitute teacher for West Clark and Greater Clark County Schools until the pandemic began.
