He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Emerson Thurman and William Rufus Thurman. He is survived by: his children, Catharine Thurman Gillespie, Donald Wayne, Cecil Daniel and David Martin. He is also survived by grandchildren, three (3) great grandchildren, and three (3) great great grandchildren.
