He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Carl Ester; his daughters, Carolyn Ester Boyd (Jim), Jennifer Hudelson (Corey) and Katy Ester; and his sister Carolyn Ester. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Contributions in Carl's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
