He was predeceased by: his father Robert Griffiths; and his wife Marcella Griffiths (Shuler). He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Rooksberry (Gary) of Pleasantville and Jennifer Glock (David) of Linton, Indiana; his stepchildren, Pamela Gholson (Ron) of North Vernon, Indiana and John Pearson of Scottsburg, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Rilee Rooksberry, Josh Rooksberry, Megan Johnson, Alec Johnson, Clay Johnson, Devin Gholson, Ashley Gholson, Hannah Pearson, Kenley Pearson and Blaze Pearson. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; and many Shuler in-laws.
