He was predeceased by: his wife Cora Swindell (Taylor); and his son Samuel Swindell Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Marilyn Hood (Sidney), Sandi Saling, Debbie Feeler (Phil) and Becky Watts (JB); his grandchildren, Brad Miller, Brittany Miller, Levon Dischinger and Sybby Hood-Dischinger; and his brother Jim Swindell (Alice).
