It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy F. Hunter of Scottsburg, Indiana, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on February 28, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hunter and Juanita Hunter (Everhart); and his stepsons, Frank, Scotty and Charles Barrett.
He is survived by: his wife Lizzie Beth Hunter (Deaton); his daughter Angie Hunter of Chicago, Illinois; and his stepchildren, Boyd Barrett (Delores) of Austin, Taylor Barrett (Barbara) of Austin, Hubert Barrett of Scottsburg, Indiana, Anna Mae Vancleve (Larry) of Austin, Dorothy Amos (Marvin) of Austin, Linda Montgomery (Gordy) of Austin, Aileen Estes (Virgil) of Scottsburg and Ariel Hunter of Scottsburg.
Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed and will be limited to 50 people in the building. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate.
