He is survived by: his wife Doris Carnes (Pruett); his children, Evelyn Terry (Jerald) of Scottsburg, Indiana and James R. Carnes of Scottsburg, Indiana; his brothers, Eugene Carnes (Essie) of Barbourville and Randall Carnes (Carolyn) of Corbin, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Travis Campbell (Brandy), Tanea Carnes, Emily Campbell (Jon Bray) and Brooklyn Carnes; his great grandchildren, Ashton Fowler, Alana Boger, Ayrihanna "Peanut" Hahn and Andrew "A. J."; and his great great grandchild Carsyn.
