He was predeceased by: his parents, Irven H. Sweet and Elizabeth Sweet-Fisher (Lank); and his brothers, Robert, James "Jim" and Irven "Sonny" Sweet.
He is survived by: his wife Genia Sweet (McWilliams); his children, Dustin Sweet of Scottsburg, Indiana, Kristen Scott (Martin) of Scottsburg and Aleshia Campbell (Matt) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his siblings, Herman "Butch" Sweet (Amanda), Patricia "Pat" Amos, Sally Fluhr, Florence Powers, Dixie Robinson (Ed) and Debra Hurtt (Ira "Ike"); and his grandchildren, Jared Scott, EmmaKae Sweet, Kegan Sweet, Brock, Grady, Rosie and Delilah Campbell.
