He was predeceased by: his parents, Amerida West and Bertha West (Helton); and his siblings, Amerida West, Jr., R. J. West, Sylas West, Frankie West, McKinley West, Cassie Barnett, Sally Mae Polly and Norma Lee Barger.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth West; his children, Christopher Paul West of Scottsburg, Michael Shawn West of Austin and Shawna Michelle West of Austin; his brother Glen West of Nevada; and his grandchildren, Josh Fink, Felicia Reed, Cody West, Kyle West, Dillon Lush, Casey Salyers and Michael Troy West. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
