He was predeceased by: his father Loye "Shorty" Thompson; his wife Beth Thompson; and his brother Randy Thompson. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Thompson Lee (Larry) of Odenville, Carrie Thompson Daniels (Billy) of Scottsburg, Leslie Thompson Carter of Scottsburg, Amy Thompson Youngblood (Jerry) of Scottsburg and Jenna Thompson Shields (Brandon) of Lexington, Indiana; his siblings, Bobby Thompson, Jimmy Francis, Martha Melton, Linda Chasteen and Judy Boyd; and his grandchildren, Chris, Bryan, Ashleigh, Dalton, Ryan, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Kameron, Keyton, Brookelyn, Raelyn and Camdyn. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
