It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Gilbert of Scottsburg, Indiana, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benton Smith and Emily Deaton; her former husband Charlie Spicer; her husband George Gilbert; her daughter Lula Charles; her siblings, Miles Smith, Layton Smith, Rosie Spicer, Lizzie Spicer, Sarah Bemett, Mina Paul, Millie Smith and Evie Smith; her grandson John Eversole; her great grandchild Christopher Scott Mitchell; and her great great grandchild Raiden Christopher Eversole.
She is survived by: her children, Ella Jean Sandlin, Christine Eversole, Linda Campbell, Evelyn Reynolds (Winford) and A. B. Spicer. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic and the governor's executive order, face masks are requirded in the funeral home and we ask that social distancing is observed.
