It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Evlin Thomas of Scottsburg, Indiana, born in Speedwell, Tennessee, who passed away on February 14, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Frank Overton and Lula Myrtle Overton (Weston); her husband James H. Thomas; her siblings, Roy M., Campbell C., Edwin Eugene, John Earl, Jimmy Don, Fred Overton, Martha E. Parks and Grace Overton; and her daughters, Linda Richey and Robin Prewitt.
She is survived by: her children, Peggy Mays (Frank), Nancy Thomas, Larry Thomas (Lisa) and Bobby Thomas (Margie); and her sons-in-law, Marvin Richey of Scottsburg, Indiana and Doug Prewitt of Scottsburg, Indiana. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
