He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Maxwell Wheat and Verla Wheat (Brichert); and his children, Vicki Joy Wheat and Scott Alan Wheat. He is survived by: his wife Janet Faith Wheat (Trowbridge); his sons, Roger Wheat of Scottsburg and Phillip Wheat of North Vernon, Indiana; his sister Sally Williams of Louisville, Kentucky; and his grandsons, Scott Allen, Jonathan Ray McCrory and Phillip Forrest Wheat. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Collins Funeral Home to help with John's final expenses.
