The memory of Janie Sue Smith of Scottsburg, Indiana, who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 75, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert L. Smith; and her parents, Chester Kelley and Laura Kelley (Dowling). She is survived by: her children, Brent Bowles (Lori) of Lexington, IN, Kelly Buckner (Bill) of Scottsburg, IN, Jason Bowles (Amy) of Scottsburg, IN and Michael (Tanya Campbell) of Austin, IN.; her grandchildren, Colton Bowles (Tori), Ashton Bowles, Gabby Hankins (Brandon), Bradley Buckner (Carla), Jenna Buckner, Carter Bowles, Dare Bowles, Danica Smith, Leon Cox, Rose Cox, Jordynn Smith, Dalton Smith and Sawyer Smith; and her brother Jeff Kelly of Austin, IN.. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory (138 Westavia Blvd, Scottsburg, IN 47170). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the New Bethel Cemetery.
