He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Vandegrift and Lola Gilbert Vandegrift; his wife Mickey; his son Earle Vandegrift (Jeffrey) of Scottsburg, IN; and his sisters, Glenda Weber and Sandy Rogers of Kansas.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa (Al Lafferty) of Scottsburg; his grandchildren, Justin (Amanda Vandegrift) of Hanover, IN, Jasmine, Bradley Vandegrift of Scottsburg, IN and Logan Vandegrift of Shelbyville, IN; his great grandchild Jackson Vandegrift of Hanover, IN; and his sister Vicki (Harry Bokey) of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
