She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Dotson and Bonnie Mae Knable (Mullins); her husband Clarence L. Petty, Sr.; her children, Jeffery Blackgrave, Faith Petty and Shirley Jones; and her brother Arlie Dotson.
She is survived by: her children, Clarence Loren Petty, Jr. (Patti) of Jeffersonville, Eric Petty (Naomi) of Henryville, Indiana, Kelly D. Wampler (Jim) of Scottsburg, Cindy Richey (Chris) of Scottsburg and Heather R. Howell (James) of Deputy, Indiana; and her siblings, Arthur Morrison (Sherry) of Atlanta, Vincent Morrison of Clarksville, Indiana and Tommie Lou Guernsey (Tom) of Sellersburg. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
