He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Coomer and Susie Coomer (Hensley); and his brothers, Joseph, Sam, Delbert and Willard Coomer.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Coomer of Scottsburg; his daughter Stephanie Cox of Seymour; his stepchildren, Richard Smith of Scottsburg, Elizabeth Smith of Huntsville, Catherine Cornett of Scottsburg and Yvonne Smith of Scottsburg; and his brothers, Chade Coomer of Austin and Charlie Coomer of Austin. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
