It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles R. Burchel Sr. of Scottsburg, Indiana, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Burchel and Alpha Burchel (Patterson); and his siblings, Gene Burchel, Helen Varnell, Mary Brown, Bea Burchel and Roy Burchel.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Burchel (Ames) of Scottsburg, IN; his children, Tammy Burchel of Scottsburg, IN and Charles "Chuck" Burchel, Jr. (Diane Richards); his grandchildren, Brian Burchel, Ben Wright and Megan Weisenbach; and his sisters, Grace Dunlevy (Bob Levenson) of Florida and Betty Allsmiller (Gene) of Lousiville, KY..
