He is survived by: his sons, Matt Staples (Chelsia) of Scipio and Mike Staples (Julie) of Hayden; his grandchildren, Ashley McGuire (Jarod) of North Vernon, Lane Staples (Brooke) of Georgetown, Emily Acton (Derrick) of North Vernon, Mason Roark of North Vernon, Abagail Lands of North Vernon, Megan Roark of North Vernon and Brayton Chastain of Columbus; his sister-in-law Diane Burris of Columbus; his niece Tara Burris of Lexington, Kentucky; and his nephew Brody Burris (Sabrina) of Columbus. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
