He is survived by: his children, Robin Spurgeon (Angie) of Scipio, Rebecca (Sam) of Scipio, Roberta West (John) of Scipio, Joyce Smith of Scipio and Johnathon Spurgeon (Rhonda) of Columbus; and his siblings, Gerald Spurgeon (Linda) of Scipio, Jerry (Sally) of Seymour, Maxine Spurgeon of Seymour, Carolyn Acton (Irvin) of Seymour, Jean Shirley of Seymour, Marilyn Smith of Vernon, Margaret Brannam (Joe) of Bedford and Clara Rudolph of Indianapolis. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
